By using SipWiser you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These Terms are available in English, French and Dutch; each version is equally valid.
You must be at least 18, or the legal drinking age where you live if that is higher. Age is self-declared; we don't verify it.
SipWiser is a consumer tool for logging drinks and seeing estimates about them. It is not a medical device, not medical or legal advice, and not a breathalyser. It doesn't measure your blood alcohol. It estimates it from what you log, using a published formula and the profile you enter.
BAC figures are estimates only. They depend on what you enter, vary between people, and can be wrong by a wide margin. Never use SipWiser to decide whether you can drive, operate machinery, look after others, or do anything else where impairment matters. Never drink and drive, whatever the app shows.
You can use SipWiser without an account. If you sign in, you do it with Google or Apple and you're responsible for keeping that account secure. The data you log belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account) and get a free copy of it by emailing us. Plus members can also export it directly from the app.
SipWiser is free to use. Logging, the live BAC estimate and safety features are always free. SipWiser Plus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features, such as unlimited history and advanced insights. The app shows what Plus includes before you buy.
As an EU consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content and services supplied immediately, you lose that right once supply has started, if you agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the right. The store asks for this when you buy. Because the store handles payments, refunds are requested from the store:
If something you paid for doesn't work as described, contact us too. This doesn't affect your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.
We may improve, add or rearrange features. We won't make a change that substantially reduces what Plus includes during a period you've already paid for without telling you in advance. If such a change affects you negatively, you can cancel, and we'll work with you and the store on a fair remedy, as the law requires.
We work to keep SipWiser running but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Maintenance, updates or events outside our control may interrupt it. The app keeps working offline on your device.
The app, its code, content and branding belong to us. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes. Your data stays yours.
You can stop using SipWiser and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these Terms or if the law requires it. If we end a paid subscription without a fault on your part, you'll get a refund for the unused period.
We may update these Terms. We'll announce significant changes in the app before they apply. If you don't accept them, you can stop using SipWiser and cancel any subscription.
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can bring a claim before its courts. Please contact us first; we'll try to resolve any issue directly. Belgian consumers can also turn to the Consumer Mediation Service: consumentenombudsdienst.be.
